[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 18th January, 2002.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-second Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- This Act may be called the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (Second Amendment) Act, 2001. To section 9 of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975, the following proviso shall be added:— "Provided that no person who has attained the age of sixtytwo years shall be eligible to hold office as President.".
