[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 23rd June, 1989.] [23rd June, 1989.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:- This Act may be called the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (Amendment) Act, 1989. In sub-section (1) of section 4 of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act, 1975, after clause (1), the following clause shall be inserted:— "(m) one person elected by the employees of the Council from amongst themselves in the manner prescribed.".
