GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LAW DEPARTMENT Legislative West Bengal Act XVI of 1989 THE WEST BENGAL COUNCIL OF HIGHER SECONDARY EDUCATION (AMENDMENT) ACT; 1989. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature. [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary; of the 23rd June, 1989.] [23rd June, 1989.] An Act to amend the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act; 1975. West Ben. Act VIII of 1975. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Act; 1975, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Fortieth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows: 1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Council of Higher Shoit title_ Secondary Education (Amendment) Act; 1989. 2 In sub-section (1) of section 4 of the West Bengal Council of Amendment Higher Secondary Education Act; 1975, after clause (I) the following of section 4 of West Ben_ clause shall be inserted: Act VIII of 1975. ~"(m) one person elected by the employees of the Council from amongst themselves in the manner prescribed. 129
