WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Municipal Act XXXIV of 1994_ Elections Act; 1994, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Forty-sixth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows: 1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Municipal Elections Short title (Amendment) Act; 1995. and commence- (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the Znd day of ment: December; 1994 2.
