[Repealed by Madras Act III of 1924.1 (1) The '[Deputy Commissioner] shall appoint ~~$~s9Camia sufficient number of public stands for hackney carriages. t Every public stand so appointed shall have a board placed in a conspicuous place on the same containiig a notice in English and Tamil or other vernacular language stating that the stand is a public stand under this Act, and specifying the number of carriages that may stand upon it. , CHAPTER V. #.
