GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LEGISLATIVE DEPARTMENT West Bengal Act XXVI of 1977 THE MAHAJATI SADAN (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1977. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature:_ [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 13th October; 1977.] [I3th October, 1977.] An Act to amend the Mahajati Sadan Act; 1949. West Ben. Act XVIof 1949 WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Mahajati Sadan Act; 1949, for the purpose and in he manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-eighth Year of the Republic of India; by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows 1. (1) This Act may be called the Mahajati Sadan (Amendment) Short title and Act. 1977. commence- men: (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may be notification in the Official Gazette, appoint 2.
