WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Mahajati Sadan Act, 1949, for the purpose and in he manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-eighth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows :- 1. (1) This Act may be called the Mahajati Sadan (Amendment) Act. 1977. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may be notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 2. In the Second Schedule to the Mahajati Sadan Act, 1949, sub-paragraphs (b) and (c) of paragraph (3) shall be omitted. Short title and commencement. Amendment of the Second Schedule to West Ben.
