Preamble. Whereas it is expedient to amend the Dibrugarh Assam Act University Act, 1965, hereinafter called the principal °*'Wbf. Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing ; It is hereby enacted in Twenty-third year of the Republic of India as follows:— Sho'^t tide 1.(1) This Act may be called the Dibrugarh Uniarid com- t v e r s jty (first Amendment) Act, 1972. Amend- 2. in Section 15 of the principal Act,— f S in sub-section (1), (i) after clause (xx), the following shall bt inserted as clause (xxi), namely:— " (xxi) (a)—three Representatives to be elected by the Post-Graduate students from amongst themselves: Provided that a student to be so elected must have been a student of the University for at least one year prior to his election: Provided further that no student who has taken more than one year in excess of the period prescribed for the course of which he is a student would be eligible .for such election. .''
