(1) The State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette consitute a State Destitutes Relief Committee.

3. (1) The State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette consitute a State Destitutes Relief Committee. (2) The Committee shall consist of a Chairman and such number of other members as may be prescribed. (3) The Chairman and other members shall be appointed by the State Government and shall, unless the appointment is terminated earlier by the State Government, hold office for a term of three years from the date of appointment. (4) Any vacancy in the Committee caused by resignation or otherwise shall be filled by the State Government by fresh appointment. (5) Save as otherwise provided in this section the terms and conditions of appointment of the Chairman and other members of the Committee shall be such as may be determined by the State Government.
