Section 17

(1) The state Government may provide and maintain one or more Certified Institution at such place or places as it thinks fit and may cetify any institution to be a Certified Institution for the purposes of this Act.

17. (1) The state Government may provide and maintain one or more Certified Institution at such place or places as it thinks fit and may cetify any institution to be a Certified Institution for the purposes of this Act. (2) Every such Certified Institution shall be under the charge of a superintendent who shall be appointed by the State Government on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed. (3) In any such Certified Institution, there shall, so far as practicable, be made provision for the teaching of agricultural, industrial and other pursuits and for the general education and the medical care of the inmates.
