(EXTRA.), MARC (PHGN 26, 1931 SAKA) GOVERNMENT OF PUNJAB EXCISE AND TAXATION COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE, PUNJAB, PATIALA Notification The 17th March, 2010 No. GS.R.13/P.A,1/14/S.21 and 59/Amd (24)/2010.— In exercise of the pawers conferred by clause (d) of section 21 and section 59 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 (Punjab Act No. | of 1914), read with the Government of Punjab, Department of Excise and Taxation, Notification No. $.0.17/PA.1/14/ §.9/2007, dated the 24th April, 2007, and all other powers enabling me in this behalf, 1, A. Venu Prasad, 1.A.S., Excise Commissioner, exercising the powers of rules further to amend the Punjab behalf, 1, A. Venu Prasad, 1.A.S., Financial Commissioner, make the following rules further to amend the Punjab Brewery Rules, 1956, namely: — RULES |, (1) These rules may be called the Punjab Brewery (First Amendment) Rules, 2010, They shall come into force on and with effect from the first day of April, 2010. Inthe Punjab Brewery Rules, 1956 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules}, in rule 2,— (i) after the definition of "Fermenting Vessel", the following definition shall be inserted, namely :— "Fusion Beer" means the beer fortified with extra neutral alcohol and with the streneth not exceeding 8.25% V/V."; and (ii) after the definition of "Mashtun", the fo}lowing definition shall be inserted, namely — "Micro Brewery" means abuilding, where beer is manufactured, and is served to the customers in the lounges or Brewery Pub, situated in the said building. tm the said rules, in rule 5, after clause (b}, the following clause shall be inserted, namely :— "(c) 'The licensee shall purchase Extra Neutral Alcohol for preparing the Fusion Beer with the prior approval of the Exc
