No. F.5/72/2005/HP-I/Estt./2901 2908 Dated 08.10.2009 NOTIFICATION No. F.5/72/2005/HP-I/Estt / In exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 read with clause () of section 2 of the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act; 2005 (29 of 2005), the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby makes the following rules, namely 1. Short title and commencement: (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Rules, 2009. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette. 2 Definitions. In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires, (a) Act" means the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act; 2005 (29 of 2005); (b) Agency" means a private security agency as defined in clause (g) of section 2 of the Act; c) Appellate Authority" means the Principal Secretary in the Home Department of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. (d_ "Controlling Authority" means the Additional Secretary or Joint Secretary in the Home Department; Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, as the case may be or any other officer on whom the powers and functions of the Controlling Authority have been delegated under section 19 of the Act; e) "District" means a district constituted under clause (a) of section 10 of the Delhi Police Act; 1978 (34 of 1978); "Form" means a Form appended to these rules; (gF "Government" means the Lieutenant Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi appointed by the President under article 239 and designated as such unde
