2 . In section 2 of the principal Act- in sub-section (1), for the words "an Additional Dep ut y Commissioner" occurring between the words "appoint" an d "for" the words "one or more Additional Deputy Commissionersu shall be substituted. (2) after sub-section (2), the following shall be inserted as sub-section (3), namely :- "(3) An Additional Deputy Commissioner appointed for the United KhasiJaintia Hills District if and when so directed by the State Government shall also exercise the powers mentio ned in sub-section (1) in the Jowai District constituted under Government Notification No.TAD!
