The Baxette of India EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY 702 ] NEW DELHI , SATURDAY , NOVEMBER 20,1999/KARTEKA 29,1921 MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 16th November , 1999 S.0.1159(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 5 A of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act , 1960 (59 of 1960) , the Central Government hereby nominates Shri Kesarichand Mehta as a Member on the Animal Welfare Board of In -dia in place of Shri Krishna Prasad , who has resigned as a Member of the Board and for that purpose makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment and Forests ' number S.O . 495(E) , dated the 09th June , 1998 , namely:— In the said notification , for serial number (18) and the entries relating thereto , the following serial number and entries shall be substituted , namely :— "(18) Shri Kesarichand Mehta Malegaon , District-Nasik , Maharashtra Member nominated under section 5(1 )(h).
