Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission Viniyamak Bhavan, C-Block, Shivalik, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi-110017 F.17(174)/DERC/Engg./17-18/5856 Order Date of Order: 31.5.2019) Whereas the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Supply Code and Performance Standards) Regulations, 2017 (hereinafter referred to as Regulations') provide for raising of demand note and payment of charges for release of electricity connection. And whereas Regulation 11 (3) (ii) of the Regulations provide that the licensee shall raise demand note to the applicant, within 2 (two) days of the field inspection subject to rectification of defects/deficiencies, for applicable charges, giving its breakup under the heads such as Service Line cum Development (SLD) charges, Security deposit, security towards pre-payment meter, road restoration charges, reconnection charges, etc: And whereas Regulation 11(3)(iii) of the Regulations provide that the applicant shall make payment within 2 (two) days of the receipt of the demand note_ And whereas Regulation 11(3)(iv) of the Regulations provide for extension of time for a maximum period of 15 days for making payment of demand note. And whereas Regulation 11(3)(v) of the Regulations provide for energisation of connection on receipt of full payment against demand note: And whereas, the Commission has received the communication from Government of NCT of Delhi for implementation of reform under Ease of Doing Business for payment of charges related to connection in first bill. Now, therefore, the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission in exercise of its powers conferred under Regulation 85 of the Regulations, hereby makes this Order in respect of the provisions for raising demand note and payment of charges for release of electricity connection; to relax, namely: 1
