Government of Punjab Department of Health & Family welfare (Health-V Branch) Notification No. /21/51/2008- SHealth5/1367103/1 Dated- 5/12/2018, Chandigarh In pursuance to the Operational Guidelines of National Tobacco Control Programme issued by the Government of India for overall implementation of National Tobacco Control Programme and THE CIGARATTEES AND OTHER TOBACCO PRODUCTS PROHIBITION OF ADVERTISEMENT AND REGULATION OF TRADE AND COMMERCE, PRODUCTION; SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTION) ACT, 2003 (Central Act No 34 of 2003)) and In supersession of the Government of Punjab Department of Health and Family Welfare (Health-5 Branch) Notification No: 21/51/95-/5H5/740160/1,dated Chandigarh 26-04-16. The Governor of Punjab is pleased to notify District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) (on the lines of State Level Coordination Committee which has already been notified) headed by Deputy Commissioner consisting of the following members: Sr. No: Departments/Agencies Civil Surgeon Member Secretary Roles Nodal Officer for convening the meeting: Regular monitoring; review and supervision of DistrictTobacco Control Programme Form enforcement squad Enforce and monitor all the provisions under COTPA Regular reporting of the violations during the monthly crime_review meetings Ensure that the tobacco products manufactured and Packaged by industries registered under them depict the notified pictorial health warnings thereon: Keeping a check on illicit manufacture and trade of tobacco products.
