Notifications in the provision of Goa Daman and Diu Information Technology Act, 2007(Act 10 of 2007) GOVERNMENT OF GOA Department of Information Technology Directorate of Information Technology Proclamation 1(128)/DOIT/Notified Area/2007/1162 Read: Notification Series I No. 35 dated 5 -12 -2006, published in the Official Gazette,Extraordinary No. 2. Whereas vide Notification Series I No. 35 dated 5 -12 -2006, published in the Official Gazette, Extraordinary No. 2 (hereinafter called the said Notification), in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Goa promulgated the GoaInformation Technology Development Ordinance 2006 and established the Goa Information Technology Development Corporation (hereinafter called the said Act); And whereas the Government of Goa now proposes to declare certain areas as specified in theSchedule hereto (hereinafter called the said areas), to be notified areas to declare that the provisions of any law relating to local authorities providing for control or erection of buildings, levy and collection of taxes, fees and other dues to the local authorities which are in force in the said areas shall cease to apply thereof and that the Municipalities and the Village Panchayats, which were receiving house tax from the occupants of the said areas, under their respective laws, shall be compensated by the Government to the extent of the last financial years collection of taxes, for a period of five years, in terms of clauses (a) and (c) respectively of sub-section (1) of section 38 of the said Act; And whereas the Government of Goa also proposes to appoint the Dy.
