I The eligibility conditions and requirements ofadr.nission shall be such as pl escdbed by NCTE from time to time. a-. r.2 1.3 The selection of candidates for admission to the Bachelor of Education course (B.Ed.) shall be made on the basis ol ranking obtained in the B. Ed. Entrance, Test conducted by Jharkhand Combined Enhance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB), Ranchi for that academic year. The JCECEB shall plescribe the requisite examination fee for the conduct ofthe Enttance test. ]'he date of B.Ed. Entrance Test will be announced by Jharldland Combined Entrance Competitive Eiamination Board (JCECEB),Ranchi keeping in view the admission schedule for B.Ed. coulses as provided in Section 1.4 below and the Result & ranhing rvill be released by JCECEB, Ranchi al1er evaluation ofanswer books' Admission Schedule for B.Ed. Candidates having their date ofbirth in descending ordet will be given preference over younger pandidates. : (D (ii) (iiD t.o Reservation of seats for the candidates ofreserved categories shall be as per Covernment's rules. The reserved category candidates shall have to submit a self-attested copy of the certificates mentioning that the candidate belongs to a pafticular category from an officer not below the rank df S.D.O. Eighty five (85) % oftotal seats are reserved lor the students passing from the Universities of Jharkhand and rest fifteen (15) % will be open seat. Application forms received will be scrutinized by JCECEB with regard to their coneptness. The seat allotunent will be done through centralized Counselling by a State University. Every year the admissions shall be regulated through a centralized counselling process by the organizing university. For the purpose of this one State University sha be identified by rotation to be the organizing University for the conduct of counselling and allotment of seats to various B.Ed. colleges. On receipt of category wise merit list from the JCECEB by the organizing University, due process of counselling and seat allotment will take place as per the decision anived at through consultation with other Universities in this regard, where the self-attested testimonials submitted by the candidate shall be scrutinized.. The original certificates after comparing with the cluplicates shall be retumed to the candidates during the counselling process itself. The organising University will complete the counselling process keeping in view admission schedule for B. Ed courses as provided in Section 1.4 above. Eligibiliw 2,1 Candidates with at least 50% either in Bachelor's Degree and /or in Masier's Degree in Science/Social Science/ HumanitieV Commerce, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for consideration for adinission to B.Ed. course. 2.2 The candidate will have to choose cinly one subject (within a subjecl^ category) which she/he must have studied in the quali$,ing degree, i.e., Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree for at least 200 marks and obtained ar least 50% in this subject. The subject will henceforth be referred to as the teaching subject in the B. Ed. course. 2.3 There is no restriction in the passing year to apply in B.Ed. course. 3. Syllabus and Marking: Common Entrance Test syllabus will have three sections carrying 100 questions. For every correct answer I mark will be awarded. while0.25markswillbedeductedforeverywrongans\'er.Theunattended question will carry no marks. The questions will be both in Hindi & English verslon. 'i-l Language Profidirency shall have 30 questions (15 questions for Hindi & 15 questions for English) indicating specific areas like comprehension, reananging sentences' selecting suitable words for the blanks, finding out errors in parts of the sentences' finding out equivalent meaning to the given phrases, finding out suitable words for the incomplete sentences, sequencing' grammar which includes synonyms, antonyms, idioms' prepositions, tenses' articles' 3.2. Teaching Aptitude (40 questions)will cover specific areas like attitude towards education, children and teaching profession; interest in ' teaching; leadership qualities & group management; emotional & social adjustment; intrapersonal & interpersonal skills; and general awareness of contemporary issues pertaining to school education' 3.3. Reasoning Ability (30 questions)indicating specihc areas like verbal non-verbal reasoning' missing numbers, number series' letter series' therne finding, jumbling, analogy, odd one out' arranging the statementsinasequentialform,statementandconclusions'syllogism' logical problems, establishing relationships and numerical ability' 4, Fee Structure The Fee structure shall be determined by a Fee constituted by the State Govemment.The Principles to hxation will be decided by the same Commi Fixation Committee be followed for fee Directo
