REVIEW OF ANNUAL ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT OF ENVIRONMENT & CLIMATE CHANGE DEPARTMENT, HARYANA FOR THE YEAR 2018-19 The 12th February, 2021 No. DE&CCH/2021/317. — ADMINISTRATION Environment & Climate Change Department is headed by Additional Chief Secretary, assisted by Head of Department i.e. Director, who is in the rank of Special Secretary to Government of Haryana, generally, the work of Government side is also looked after by him. He is assisted by one Joint Director and 3 Scientists Grade-1 for technical as well as day-to-day work. The various schemes for the control of Pollution and maintenance of clean environment are implemented by the Department. 1. Setting up of Head-Quarter and Referral Laboratory Scheme:- The Environment & Climate Change Department has set up Referral Laboratory. 2. Setting up of Special Environment Courts The State Government has set up two Special Environment Courts at Faridabad and Kurukshetra for disposal of cases pertaining to various environmental Acts. 3. State Environment Impact Assessment Authority: The MoEF, GOI vide Notification dated 30.01.2019, re -constituted a State Level Environment Appraisal Committee and State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority for giving environmental clearance to Category 'B' Projects under EIA Notification dated 14.09.2006. 4. Environment Training Education and Awareness Programme: The Environment & Climate Change Department is making efforts to create awareness against the hazards of environment pollution by organizing seminars & workshops. 5. Setting up of Eco-Clubs: The Environment & Climate Change Department has established the National Green Crops under the Mechanism of Eco -Clubs in 5250 Schools of 22 District of the State. 6.
