RULES DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY NOTIFICATION New Delhi; the 28th May, 1981 GSR. 379 (E). ~In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 31 of the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sci- ences and Technology, Trivandrum Act, 1980 (Act 52 of 1980) Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely: Short title and commencement i) These rules may be called the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum Rules, 1981 They shall come into force on the date of their publi- cation in the Official Gazette 2 Definitions.-~In these rules, unless the context otherwise- requires; (a) 'Act' means the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum Act, 1980 (Act 52 of 1980); (b) Director" means Director of the Institute- (c) 'President' means President of the Institute; (d) 'Section' means section of the Act 3 Nomination of members of the Institute. For purpose of clauses (f) (g) and (i) of section 5, the Central Government shall nominate the members from panel or names recommended by committee constituted by that Government consisting of: (1) Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Science and Technology as Chairman (2) The Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research as member, (3) The President;, Indian Medical Council as member; 15 (4) The President; Indian National Science Academy , New Delhi; as member (5) The President; Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore, as member, (6) The President; National Academy of Sciences, Allahabad, as member; The President; Institution of Engineers (India) , as member. (b) The panel referred to in sub-rule (a) shall provide choice of at least two names in each of the categories; men- tioned in clauses (f) , (g) and (i) of Section 5
