G.O.(Ms).No.8 ORDER: In the Government Order first read above, the Government have approved the State Action Plan for Eradication of Child Labour and sanctioned a sum of Rs.1.25 crore to the State Child Labour Rehabilitation Cum Welfare Society for implementing the Action Plan at District level and State level. In the letter second read above, the Commissioner of Labour has sent the revised State Action Plan for Eradication of Child Labour and Eradication of Adolescent Labour in Hazardous Occupations and Processes as per the provisions available in the amended act that is the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986 to the Government for approval. The revised State Action Plan for Child Labour sent by the Commissioner of Labour contains the salient features of the amended Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, National Child Labour Project, Release and Rescue process, Enforcement of Labour Laws, Awareness Generation, Skill Development Training, Implementation of State Action Plan, Economic Rehabilitation, Community Participation, Monitoring Mechanism, Mainstreaming Child Labour and Convergence of Services of the concerned departments etc.,. The above said actions are interrelated with line departments of Revenue, Municipal Administration and Water Supply, Social Defence, Home (Police), Health, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare, Rural Development and School Education, etc. The Government after careful consideration approve the "State Action Plan for Eradication of Child Labour and Eradication of Adolescent Labour in Hazardous Occupations and Processes as in the annexures.
