MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT & FORESTS (Department of Environment , Forests and Wildlife) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 19th March , 1993 S.O . 282(E) —In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 13 and clause (a) of Section 18 of the Public Liability Insurance Act 1991 (6 of 1991) the Central Government hereby authorises the officers and authorities listed in column (2) of the Table below for the purposes of the said Sections with the jurisdiction mentioned against each of them in column (3) of that Table :—· TABLE S.No . Any Director , Joint Secretary , Adviser or Additional Secretary to the Govern- ment of India in the Department of Environment , Forests and Wildlife 2 . The Chairman or Member-Secretary of the Central Pollution Control Board constituted under section 3 of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act , 1974 (6 of 1974) 3 . The Government of the State (Represented by the Secretary to the State Government incharge of Environment)" 4 . The Chairman or Member-Secretary of the State Pollution Control Board constituted under section 4 of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 (6 of 1974) or a State Board fpr the Prevention & Control of Air Pollution constituted under section 5 of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act , 1981 (14 of 1981) 5 . The Chairman or the Member-Secretary of the Pollution Control Committees of Whole of the Union the Union Territories who have been delegated powers under clause (4) of section Territories or area as laid 4 of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act , 1974 , and section 6 of the down by the Central Board Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act , 198J by Central Pollution Control Board •
