NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 15 th November , 1991 S . O . 779(E) - In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Public Liability Insurance Act , 1991 ( 6 of 1991 ) , the Central Government hereby delegates the powers vested in it under section 12 of the said Act to the respective State Governments , to exercise the same within their respective jurisdiction subject to the condition that the Central Government may revoke such delegation of powers in respect of all or any one or more of the State Governments or may itself invoke the provisions of above section of the Act , if in the opinion of the Central Government such a course of action is necessary in public interests .
