GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL LAW DEPARTMENT Legislative NO l'IPICATION No. 600-L.-17th April, 2008.—The following Act of the West Bengal Legislature, having been assented to by the Governor, is hereby published for general information:— West Bengal Act IV of 2008 THE CHANDERNAGORE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2008. [Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 17th April, 2008.] An Act to amend the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:— (1) This Act may be called the Chandernagore, Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2008. [SAKA 1930 West Ben. Act XXXII of 1990. Amendment of section 162 of West Ben. Act XXXII of 1990. The Chandernagore Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2008. (Section 2.) It shall be deemed to have come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. In section 162 of the Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990, the words "and may impose fees at such rates for consumption beyond such limit" shall be omitted.
