* The Puri Shri Jagannath Temple (Administration) Rules, 1952 Notification No. 10439-End, dated 30th December, 1952 -In exerciseof the powersconferredby Section7of thePuriShriJagannath Temple (Administration) Act, 1952(OrissaAct XIV of 1952)theGovernor of Orissais pleasedto makethe following rules, the samehaving beenpreviously publishedasrequiredunderSub-section(1) of the said Sectionof the said Act, namely : CHAPTER 1 Short title and commencement -(1) These rules may be called the Puri Shri JagannathTemple(Administration) Rules,1952. They shall come into force at once. 2.Definitions -(1)In theserules unlessthereis anything repugnant in the subject or context - (i) 'Act'means thePuriShriJagannathTemple(Administration) Act. 1952. (ii) 'Special Officer' means the officer appointed under Section 3 of the Act. All other words and expressions used in these rules shall have the same meaning as are assigned to them in the Act. No person other than a member of the Orissa Judicial Service, Class I, shall be appointed as the Special Officer under the Act and the officer so appointed shall receive such special pay in addition to his pay in the service as notified by the State Government. The officer or officers to be appointed under Sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Act to assist the Special Officer shall be a member of the Subordinate Judicial Service, Class I, or Class II, as the case may be, of the State Government and he shall receive such special pay in addition to his pay in the service as may be notified by the State Government. CHAPTER 11 The manner of preparation of the record -The record to be prepared under Section 3 of the Act shall consist of the following : PART 1 Record of all the Temples, i.e.- Published Vide Orissa Gazette Ext.
