Government of Gujarat — The Gujarat Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2013.

Notification Government of Gujarat Urban Development and Urban Housing Department; Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar; Dated 3rd October; 2020 WHEREAS in exercise of Gujarat No. GHIL1-154 of 2020-AGN/10/2020/422/L.1 Fire sub- section (/) and (2) of section 8 of The Gujarat Prevention the powers conferred by and Life Act;, 2013 (Guj: 1 of 2013), the Safety Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Measures regions, with their of Gujarat has constituted five fire Act, 2013. Government regions vide Urban headquarters specified and defined the limits of such fire Development and Urban Housing Department Notification No: GHV/zzOof 2015/AGN/10/2015/2425/V, on 2nd December, 2015; AND WHEREAS the Government of Gujarat desires to constitute eight more fire regions with their headquarters in the cities of Ahmedabad, Surat; Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar; Gandhinagar and Junagadh NOW THEREFORE in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) to (3) of section 8 of the aforesaid Act; the Government of Gujarat hereby; (i) constitutes 8 (eight) more fire regions with their headquarters specified and defines the limits thereof in the following Schedule, and (ii) appoints the Chief Fire Officer of the respective Municipal Corporation and designates them as Regional Fire Officer in the respective region.
