(1) Any sum due to a Jal Sansthan on account of tax, fee, cost of water, cost of disposal of waste water, meter-rent, penalty, damage or surcharge and under this Act, shall be recoverable as arrears of land revenue.

64. (1) Any sum due to a Jal Sansthan on account of tax, fee, cost of water, cost of disposal of waste water, meter-rent, penalty, damage or surcharge and under this Act, shall be recoverable as arrears of land revenue. (2) Nothing in sub-section (1) shall affect the power of a Jal Sansthan to cut off in accordance with its bye-laws, the connection of water supply in the event of non-payment by the consumer of any dues referred to in that sub -section.
