They are the future f the country which needs to be shaped with great care and sensitivity: 2 NCERT is doing very important job of inculcating the young minds of children in an excellent manner _ Ministry of Women & Child Development also has been working to protect the interest of the children in the society and to ensure a safe environment and better future for them 3 Though the Ministry has framed various important legislations to protect children's interest (JJ Act; 2015, POCSO 2012, child Marriage Act etc). It is observed that there is a gap between the intended benefits offered by these legislations and children: They often remain unaware of these rights and laws which can provide them protection. A child needs to be aware regarding the action to be taken by her/him to ensure protection of her/his rights, when under any kind of threat. It is also felt that it is imperative to teach the young minds the concepts of gender parity, individual freedom and ethics to ensure that they grow into responsible adults and help creating a fair and just society in future. 5 In view of the forgoing, would request you to kindly consider following proposals.
