ORDINANCE NO. 3 ADMISSIONS 3.1 The number of admissions that can be made to any approved Programme of the Institute shall be as decided by the Senate from time to time. 3.2 Reservation of seats for various reserved categories shall be as prescribed by the Board of Governors. 3.3 The eligibility requirements and frequency of admission to the approved Programme of the Institutes shall be decided by the Senate. 3.4 Students who have completed their 10+2 are eligible to apply to the BS/BS-MS (Dual Degree) programme. There are three channels of admission: (i) Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), (ii) Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of' Technology (IIT-JEE), and (iii) State and Central Boards (SCB) 3.5 Students who have completed their Bachelor'$ Degree in relevant disciplines and have qualified a national level examination orland meet any other criteria imposed by the concerned department are eligible to apply to the Integrated PhD. Programmes. 3.6 Students who have acquired a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NETIGA TE Qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Courses (through national level eligibility examination) are eligible to apply to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme. Under special circumstances, Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NETIGATE Qualification may also be considered for admission in certain Departments. GATE examination is exempt for those with B.Tech /B.E./BS from a Centrally Funded Technical Institute [CFTI] with CGPA/CPI more than 8.0 on a 10 point scale. 3.7 Candidates studying in the final year of their qualifying degree may be considered for provisional admission to the Integrated PhD. and PhD.
