ORDiNANCE NO. 7 TEACHING AND EV ALUATION 7.1 Themedium of instruction shall be the English Language 7,2 Each course, along with its weightage in terms of units, shall require approval of the Senate. 'Only approved courses can be offered during any semesterlsummer-term . 7.3 Each approved course; Ihenever affered in any giien semester; shall be conducted aby fhe assigned Instructor-in-Charge with fhe assistance of the required number of Instructors/Tutors. The Instructor-in-Charge shall be 'responsible for conducting the course; holding the examinations; evaluating the performance of the students and awarding the grades at the end of the semester. 7.4 The list of all courses to be offered by a department; during any semesterlsummer-term, shall be finalized, before the beginning of the semester/summer-term, by the concerned Head of the Department; taking into consideration all the departmental requirements and the recommendations of the Senate . 75 The Instructor-in-Charge, Instructors and Tutors for all the courses to 'be offered by & department, during any semester/summer-term, shall be assigned by the concerned Head of Department. 7.6 In each semester; there shall normally be one Mid-Semester Examinations and one End- Semester Examination, As far a8 possible, all the examinations shall be conducted during the announced examination periods. 7,7 Students who fail t0 appear in any examination, 'due t0 bonafide #easons, may be permitted to appear in the Make-up Examination as per the procedures laid down by the Senate, 738 Each student, registered for & course, shall be awarded % letter prade iby the concorned Instructor-in-Charge.
