H/MAI162 1/Z -46/1999 . -Dated: Kolkata . the 20th August. t. 2004 . -In exercise of the power conferred by section 21 of the West Bengal State Health Service Act 1990 (West Ben. n. Act VII of 1990) (as subsequently amended» , the Governor is pleased hereby to make the following rules , namely . Rules L . Short title and commencement . (1) These rules may be called the West Bengal Public HealthhcumAdministrative Service (Cadre) Rules , 2004 . They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. e. 2 . Cadre ofthe West Bengal Public Health-cum-Administrative Service . --T -The Cadre of West Bengal Public Healthhcum-Administrative Service (for short hereinafter referred to as the WBPHAS) shall consist of the following posts:- A . Basic Public Health -cum-A -Administrative Officers Block Medical Officers of Health and Superintendents of rural hospitals and State General Hospitals situated in rural areas , but not under the control of the Municipalities or the Notified Area Authorities . B . Public Health -cum-A -Administrative Officers Group Band Group A (a) Group 'B 'B ' includes: (i) A II posts of Superintendents in different Sub-divisional hospitals; (ii) All posts of Assistant Chief Medical Officer of Health; (iii) All pusts of Superintendents of State General Hospitalssituate in the areas under the Municipalities or the Notified Area Authorities; (iv) All posts of Superintendents of the State General Hospitals situate i
