NOTIFICATION ISSUED BY GOVERNMENT NOTIFYING NCMEI (FINANCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE POWERS) RULES, 2005 TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA, EXTRAORDINARY, PART II SECTION (3), SUB-SECTION (1) Government of India Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Secondary and Higher Education) New Delhi, the 22 nd September, 2005 NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 24 read with clause (b) of sub Section 2 of Section 24 of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Act 2004, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely: - Short title and commencement.- The rules may be called the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (Financial and Administrative Powers) Rules, 2005. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. Definitions.- In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Act" means the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Act, 2004 (2 of 2005), (b) “Chairperson” means the Chairperson of the Commission, (c) words and expressions used here in and not defined in these rules, but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act. Powers of the Chairperson.- The Chairperson shall have the powers in respect of matters specified in the Schedule to these rules: - Provided that the exercise of financial powers shall be subject to any procedural or other instructions or rules issued by the Central Government from time to time.
