NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred hy sub-section (I) of Sectlon 228 of the Tripura Panchayats Act , 1993 , the State Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Tripura Panchayets (Coristit ution of State Panchayat Ele-tion Commission) Rules, 1923, namely 1. SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT () These rules may be called the Tripura Panchayats (Constitution of State Pancbayat Election Commission) (First Amendment) Rules, 1995. (2) They shall come into force at once. 2. AMENDMENT OF RULE 3 In the Tripura Panchayats (Constitution ol State Panchavat Elec- tion Commission) Rules, 1993 (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Rules), for sub-rule (3) of Rule 3, the following sub-rule shall be substituted. namely (3) the State Election Commissioner shall hold office for period not exceeding two years a8 mey be specified in the Notification from the date on which he enters upon his office' By order of the Governor, N C.
