(Published in the Official Gazette Series-I No. 23 dated 10-9-1999) Notification 7/18/90 -IWT -I In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Goa Ferries Act, 1990 (Act 9 of 1990) (hereinafter referred to as the 'said Act'), the Government of Goa hereby appoints the 10th day of September, 1990, as the date on which the said Act shall come into force. 2 · Civilian personnel belonging to various Government Departments proceeding on special tasks of an extremely urgent nature shall between the hours of 7 a.m and 7 p.m obtain prior sanction from the Office of the Captain of Ports at Panaji. Between the hours of 7 a.m and 7 p.m priority may be obtained at the ferry points for very urgent works only but in such cases the Heads of Department shall within 24 hours certify that due to very urgent work priority was utilised. In public interest, the Heads of Departments are requested to use extreme discretion when desiring <Priority>.
25 · passengers are allowed within the special trip rate, extra passengers and vehicles to be charged at normal rate.
