As amended upto 06th July, 2020 Rajasthan Police Rules, 2008 Published vide No. F.12(6) Home-1/2007, G.S.R. 30 dated 23.5.2008 (Published in Rajasthan Gazette Extraordinary dated 26.5.2008). RJ161 Short title and commencement. -(1) These rules may be called the Rajasthan Police Rules, 2008. They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. Definition. -(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Act" means, the Rajasthan Police Act, 2007 (14 of 2007); (b) "Administration" means the management and the organization of the Police Force of the State; (c) "Beat Constable" means a police constable of a police station assigned to a particular area as his beat and designated as beat constable; (d) "Board" means the Police Establishment Board constituted under section 28 of the Act; (e) "CLG" means Community Liasioning Group constituted under section 55 of the Act; (f) "Commission" means the State Police Commission established under section 21 of the Act; (g) "District Superintendent of Police" includes Deputy Commissioner of Police in respect of metropolitan area; (h) "Section" means section of the Act; and (i) 1 "Village Guard" means a person enlisted as such under section 48 of the Act. (2) The words and expressions used in these rules but not defined shall have the meaning assigned to them in the Act. 3. Powers, functions, duties and responsibilities of Director General of Police. -(1) The overall supervision and control of the Police Force of the State shall vest in the Director General of Police. (2) The Director General of Police shall be assisted by one or more Additional Directors General of Police, Inspectors General of Police, Deputy Inspectors General of Police and Superintendents of Police appointed by the St

3 · Powers, functions, duties and responsibilities of Director General of Police. -(1) The overall supervision and control of the Police Force of the State shall vest in the Director General of Police.

4 · Meetings of the Commission. - (1) The State Police Commission shall meet at such places and at such time as may be decided by the Chairman of the Commission and it shall meet at least once in every three months. (2) The Secretary to the Commission, appointed by the State Government under the provisions of sub-section (3) of section 21 of the Act, shall issue a notice of meeting in writing to all members atleast 15 days before the scheduled date of the meeting:
