In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (e) of sub-section (2) of section 64 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and clause (aa) and (f) of sub-section (2) of section 54 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the State Government, hereby makes the following rules, namely:- Short title and commencement. -(1) These rules may be called the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (Qualifications and other Terms and Conditions of Service of the Chairman and Member Secretary) Rules, 2021. They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. Definitions. -In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Act" means the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (Central Act 6 of 1947.); (b) "Board" means the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board constituted under the Act; (c) "Government" means the Government of Rajasthan; and (d) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board; (e) "Member Secretary" means the Member Secretary of the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board. Selection of the Chairman . -(1) The Chairman of the Board shall be nominated by the State Government on the recommendation of the Search cum Selection Committee.
