The following Notification S.0.1087 (E) dated the 13"h March; 2020 issued by Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, section 3-sub-section (ii) is hereby republished for general information. By order and in the name of Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi knee&z (Ankita Mishra Bundela) Secretary-cum-Commissioner Food Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department Government of India Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (Department of Consumer Affairs) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 13' th March, 2020 S.0.1087(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 2A. of the Essential Commodities Act; 1955 (10 of 1955). the Central Government;, hereby makes the following Order; to regulate the production, quality, distribution, logistics of masks (2ply & 3ply surgical masks, N95 masks) & hand sanitizers (for COVID 19 management) namely 1. (1) This order may be called the Essential Commodities Order; 2020. (2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2 In the Essential Commodities Act; 1955, in the Schedule, after serial No. (7) . the following item shall be added, namely:- "(8) masks (2ply & 3ply surgical masks, N9S masks) & hand sanitizers' 41/ c 3 .
