INVrnNG APPLICATIONS FOR FILLING UP THE ONE POST OF MEMBER IN THE COMPETITION COMMISSION OF INDIA. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals in the format given in Annexure-I for the one post of Member in the Competition Commission of India. The selected candidate will be required to serve at the headquarter of the Competition Commission of India. The location of the CCI is to be in Delhi/NCR. 3 . Qualifications: As per the Competition Act, 2002 a person of ability, integrity and standing and who has special knowledge of, and such professional experience of not less than fifteen years in, international trade, economics, business, commerce, law finance, accountancy, management, industry, public affairs or competition matters, including competition law and policy, which in the opinion of the Central Government, may be useful to the Commission is eligible for appointment as Member of the Competition Commission of India . The Hon'ble High Court of Delhi vide its Judgement dated 10.4.2019 in the matter of Mahindra Electric mobility [W.P. (C) 11467/2018 , CM Appl . 44376-44378/2018 in para 213 (iii)(c) read with para 107 of (Civil Appeal No. 14697 of 2015), which inter-alia, refers to the matter in the case of Utility Users Welfare Assoclatlon-], directed that "the CCI shall ensure that at all times, during the final hearing, the judicial member is present and participates in the hearing " . In view of the above , the Government proposes to appoint a Member in the CCI with Law or Judicial Background. Member shall be paid a consolidated monthly salary of Rupees four lakh only and shall not be entitled to house and car. Tenure: Five years or till the age of 65 years , whichever is earlier. 8 . 3 · . 8 · . The application form may be down-loaded from the web-sites of this Ministry (www.mca.gov.in), the Competition Commission of India (www.ccLgov . in) or Department of Personnel & Training (http://persmin.nic.in). Copy of the application may be sent in advance before the due date .

9 · . Applications in the prescribed format , duly completed should reach to Shri Rakesh Kumar, Under Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Room No. 520 , ' A' Wing, 5th Floor, Shastri Bhawan, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road , New Delhi-ll0001 latest by 25th July, 2019 (5:30 PM).

4 · . The terms and conditions of the service of Member, CCI are regulated by the Competition Commission of India (Salary, allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and other Members) Rules, 2003, as amended from time to time. The Member shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office and shall be eligible for re-appointment but shall not hold office beyond 65 years of age. Member shall be paid a consolidated monthly salary of RsA Lakh (rupees Four Lakh only). He shall not be entitled to house and car.
