3 · Courses to be imparted at the the Institute Institute - (1) There shall be (mparted at long-term and short-term training courses in legal metrology allied subjects including consumer and other protection activities (2) There shall be such refresher course for specific purpose and for such duration as the Committee may recommend,
5 · Qualification of persons to be eligible for 'admission in the Institute - No person shall be admitted to the Institute unless he satisfies the one of the following requirements of clauses, namely: any (a) that he is employed by the Central Government or any Department State Government in dealing any with Legal Metrology and either holds- a degree in Science (with Physic as one of engineering, or the subjects), technology Or ii) a diploma in engineering; and has been the Government sponsored for training at the Institute by by which he is so employed: Provided that the educational qualification is not required in respect of who are already employed as legal persons metrology officers or eligible for promotion to
