3crTr 9ag 31IETRU TuTz, 6 3J3T,2021 5 IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 2028/LXXXIV-2-2021-CN. 957154, dated October 6,2021: No. 2028 /LXXXIV-2-202I-C.N. 957154 Dated Lucknow, October 6, 202 1 IN exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 102 and clauses (h) and (m) of sub-section (2) of section 102 of the Consumer Protection Act; 2019 (Act no. 35 of 2019) read with section 21 of' the General Clauses Act, 1897 (Act no. 10 of 1897), the Governor is pleased to make the following rules, namely THE UTTAR PRADESH CONSUMER PROTECTION (SALARY, ALLOWANCES AND CONDITIONS OF SER VICE OF PRESIDENT AND MEMBERS OF THE STATE COMMISSION AND DISTRICT COMMISSIONF RULES, 2024 1. (1) These rules may be called the Uttar Pradesh Consumer Protection (Salary, Short title and of. the State commencement Allowances and Conditions of Service of President and Members Commission and District Commission) Rules, 202 [. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Gazette. 2. (I) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires, Delinitions (a) Act" means the Consumer Protection Act; 20/9 (Act no. 35 of 2019); (6) Consumer Commission means a District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission established in district under section 28 of the Act;, and a State Consumner Disputes Redressal Commission established in State under section 42 of the Act; (c) Member' means Member of the District Commission or the State Commission, as the case may be; (d) President' means the President of the District Commission or the State Commis;ion, as the case may be: (2) The words and expressions used in these rules bRule TOC

7 · The President or Member shall be entitled to house rent allowance at the same rate aS is admissible to Group TA Olficer of the State Government of corresponding status.
10 · (1) The President or Member shall not practice before the National Commission; the State Commission or the District Commission after relirement from the service of the State Commission or the District Commission. as the case may bc (2) The President or Member shall not undertake any arbitration work while functioning in these capacities in the State Commission or the District Commission. as the case may be_ (3) The President or Member of the State Commission or the District Commission, as the case may be; shall not, for period of two years from the date on which they cease t0 hold office, accept any employment in; or be connected with the management or administration of, any person who has been party to proceeding before the State Commission 0r the District Commission
