[No: 7(1)Plant(A)/57.] New Delh1, the 21st Januury 1958 BR.O_ 301,_In cxercisc of the powers conferred by section 49 of the Tea Act, 1953 (29 of 1953 ) _ the Central Govcrnmnent hereby makes the Tea Rules, 1954, the same having been pabiished amendments In the previously AS requircd by suh-sectin (1) of the saud scction, namely In the said Rules (1 ) In rulc 30 , fov sub-rule (3) _ thc follow ing sub-rulc shall be gubstituted, namely; _ (3) Permission for extension of cultivation shall not bc granted to any estalc (i) if thc pcrmissible acrcage of lhal estate excceds 500 acres, or (ji) if uny permission for extension granted by the Tea Board to lhat estale under clause (e) of sub-rulc (2) of rule 30A has the effect to incrense its total area to more than 500 acres, without thc previous sanction of the Central Government; Provided that tca estatc which has fully utiliscd anly permit 01 pcrmits granted to il undcr this sub-rule in rcspccl of 0 particular five year period may be gronted a furthcr pernt Or permits 1n2 respecl of the Same pertod wth the previous sanction of the Central Govern- ment.
