Rajasthan Protected Forest (Exercise of Rights) Rules; 1960 Notification No. F.15 (197) Rev /A/S8/IV , dated 23.1.61 (Published in Rajasthan Gazette; Part 4C, dated 13.4.1961) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 32(1) of the Rajasthan Forest Act: 1953 (Act No. XIII of 1953) , the Government of Rajasthan is pleased to make the following Rules: 1 Title and commencement: (1) These Rules shall be called the Rajasthan Protected Forest (Exercise of Rights) Rules, 1960. (2) They shall come into force at once. 2. Rights of pasture: The Right of pasture under Section 29 of the Act shall be subject to the following conditions: All plantations and felled coupes shall be closed for the exercise of the Right unit the Forest Officer declares them as open. Normally all felled coupes shall remain closed for period of 10 years from the year following the year of felling: Provided that not more than one quarter of the area of any forest block shall remain closed: (T) Grass reserves, usually known as Birs, Jors &nd Rundhs, in which the right of pasture has been admitted, shall remain closed to grazing from Ist July to 31st October. 3. Rights to Forest Produce: The rights to forest produce under Section (29) shall be subject to the following conditions: No felling, lopping, extraction of leaves, bark and roots shall be carried out from Ist May to 31st October; except with the specific permission in writing of the Forest Officer: Provided that dead, dry, fallen fuelwood may be brought in head loads for domestic needs (ii) No grass shall be cut between Ist July and 30th September except with the permission in writing of the Forest Officer.Rule TOC
