No. 4 (Gen)/ENV /2016/Part-1 Jaipur, Dated:01 July, 2021 ORDER With reference to Office Memorandum dated 16th April 2021 received from Government of India and in supersession of this Department's order No. F 8 (4) /ENV/2016 dated 12th April,2021, a Spe~ial Task Force for taking measures to eliminate single use plastic in mission mode is hereby constituted with the following composition: . . Terms of Reference of the said task force will be as under: Prepare a comprehensive Action Plan for implementation of Plastic Waste Management Rule, 2016 and phasing out of SUPs, with identified activities and timelines and synergizing efforts and resources of various Departments/ Agencies at State, District and City level. Assess plastic was~e generated in State /UT with respect to collection, recycling and end of life dispqsal and identify gaps in plastic waste management (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle)- policy, implementation, enforcement, infrastructure etc. Strengthen policy, regulatory, institutional mechanism/ structures for the implementation of Plastic Waste Management Rule, 2016 and phasing out of Single Use Plastic (SUP) in the state/UT, design appropriate management strategies and allow for allocation of financial resources for PWM . i including leverage of funds from Swachh Bharat Mission. Take measures for effective enforcement of (i) Plastic Waste Management Rule, 2016, as amended, and (ii) State/UT specific ban imposed on identified single use plastic items. Develop policies for supporting the adaptation of alternatives to identified single use plastic items prohibited under PWMR, 2016, as amended.
