O . 381(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (3) of Section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act 1986 (29 of 1986) , the Central Gov -ernment hereby makes the following amendment in the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment and Forests number S.O.35O(E) , dated 17th May , 1999 , namely :— In the said Order , in paragraph I , for the words "for a period of two years with effect from the date of publication of this notification" , the words "for a period of four years with effect from the date of publication of this Order"shall be substituted .
