P. Act no. Iof 1961), road with section 21 of tle U. P. General Clauses Act, 1904 (U. P. Act no. I of 1904), the Governor is pleased to mako the follow ing Rules, after their previous publication under Governnent notification[ no. 11/11-312)-78 Rajasva-I, dated April 10, 1974 : THE UTTAR PRADESH IMPOSITION OF CEILING ON LAND HOLDIN GS (FIRST AMENDMENT) RULES, 1974 Short title and commencement.-(1) These Rules may be called tho Utar Pradesh Imposi tion of Coi'ing on Lond Holdings (Fiust Amendment) Rulos, 1974. They shall come into force with effect from the dato of thoir publication in the Gazette. 2 Substitution of words 'Public Debt Office'.--In tho Utlar Pr desh Imposition of Ceilivg on Land Holdings Rules, 1961 (hercinafter referred to as the said ules), for tho words Public Debt Office, ILucknow" wherever they occur, the words Public Debt Offico" shall be substituted. 3 Amendment of rule 3.--In the said rules, in rule 3, afler Explanatien II, the followirg Explanation shall be inserted, namely: "Explanation IlI.-Any land in which sugarcane orop was grown in any of tho yeara mentioned in sub-rule (1), shall be doemod to be an irigated land." Omission of rule 29-A.-In the said rulos, rule 29-A shall be omitted. Amendment of rule 59,--ln the said rulos, for tho sub-rule as sot out in Colunn 1, tho 8ub-1 ule as set out in Column II shall be substituted, namel
