Quarry pernits shall be granied and renewed by the rspecuve Panchayal , alter obtaining prior approval of tne Gram Sabha of the Panchayut in which the quarry area IS situaled.
8 · Procedure lor demarcation of new quarries and grant 0 quarry permils when the area falls under different Gram Panchayats/Janpad Panchayals - (I) If the area of any quany. in respect Of which powers I0 grant quarry permits; as specified in rule 7 above. covers more than One Gram Panchayat or Janpad Panchayat, quATTY permit for such quarry shall be granted by that Gram Panchayat which is authorised by Zila Panchayal.

1 · Officer authorised to receive applications ~The Mining Officer or Assistant Mining Officer of the District shall receive the applications and shall enter on it thc date on which thc application was reccived by him_ 12. Availability of certain areas -No appliczuon for quarry lease of mincrals at serial No; 1 t0 4 of Schedule [shall lie for areas previously held or which ar being held under a quarry lease or in respect of which an Order_had been made for te grant thercof but the applicant has died bxfore the execution of lease deed Or in respect of which lhe order granting a lease has been revoked or in reSpct of which an application for quarry Iease has been rejecled on the ground that the area should be reserved for any purpose unless the dale from which the area shall be available for grant is nolfied in the Official Gazeule a least thiny days in "dvance
