WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Jadavpur Univer- A1955fhd ihhi pp sity Act, 1955, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Fifteenth Year of the blif dibhilf l y Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows :— t This Act may be called the Jadavpur University rondment) Act, 1964. In section 2 of the Jadavpur University Act, 1956 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), in the Explanation to clause (g), for the word "President", the word "Chancellor" shall be substituted. In sub-section (4) of section 4 of the said Act,— in clause (a), for the word "President", the word 1,2) in clause (b), for the word "Rector", the word ihllhll bbidd "Vice-Chancellor" shall be substituted; and clause (c) shall be omitted.
