F 5 - 36/20 15/18 . - In exercise of the powe COi:• . ••e •erree b Section 36 of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act , 201 0 _ 014) , the State Government , hereby , makes the following rules relating to street vending in the State of Chhanisgarh, namely:- RULES I . Short title and commencement . - (I) These rules shall be called the Chhattisgarh treet Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regula- tion of Street Vending) Rules, 2015 . It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette . 2 . Definitions.- (I) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) " Act " means the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vend- ing) Act, 2014 (No.7 of 20 I4); (b) "Form " means the form appended to these rules; (c) " Market Committee " means the Market Committee constituted by the Municipal Autho- r ity for the area under his jurisdiction; (d) " Mayor " means Mayor of the Municipal Corporation constituted under the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956 ( o . 23 of 1956); (e) " Municipal Officer " means the Municipal Commissioner in the case of Municipal Corpo- ra tions and the President of the municipal body in the case of Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats; (I) " President " means the President of the municipal body in the case of a Municipality or a Nagar Panchayat constituted under the Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act , 1961 (No. 37 of 1961) . Words and expressions used herein but not defined in these rules shall have the same meaning as a ssigned in this Act . 3 .
