In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 118 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, the Lieutenant Governor (Administrator), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, hereby makes the following Amendment further in the Notification No. 07 /2018/ F. No. 3-37 / MVD / Speed Governor/2016(PF) dated 25-01-2018 namely AMENDMENI In the table to the said Notification for the specified maximum speed limit in Kms per hour in CoL 3 at SL No 1to 6 the entries_ related thereto,the following shall be substituted as under SL: Mar. speed Hmlt In Kms. Type of Vehicle No_ Per hour Stage Carriage Buses 80 Kms: 2 Buses Vans used for transporting students 60 Kms: 3 Contract Carriage with passenger and goods with 80 Kms_ seating capacity not exceeding eight passengers in addition to driver seat and not exceeding 3500 Kilograms GVW (MI Category) 4 Contract Carriages with seating capacity exceeding 8+1 80 Kms. 5 Goods Vehicles exceeding 3500 Kilograms gross vehicle 80 Kms. weight (GVW) except Dumpers, Tankers and those carrying hazardous goods: Dumpers, Tankers and those carrying hazardous 60 Kms: goods.
