ANNEXURE K-A ~THE PUNJABPRIVATELY_MANAGED RECOGNISZD SCHOOLS EMPLOYEES (SECURITY OF SERVICE) RULES, 1979 Punjab Act No. 18 of 1979 An Act to prouide for security_ of seruice to emplovees of privately recognised schools in the Stateeoy Fenjabranayfos mattevateonnected / therewith and incidental thereto. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Thirtien Year of the Republic of India as follows CHAPTER L PRELIMINARY 1. (1) This Act may be called the Short title, Punjab Privately _ Managed Recogaised Schools Employees (Security of Serivcel extent and. Act, 1979. commencement: (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Punjab; (3) It shallcomeinto force on such date as the State Governmere may (bv) notification appoint. 2iIn this Act; unless the context otherwise requires, Definition. (a) 'aided post' means the post of the establishment of a privately managed recognised school against which such a school gets grant-in-aid from the State Government (6) Director means the Director %f Public instruction (School) Punjab and Director of Public Instructions Education), (primary as the case may be; and includes any other officer authorised by him in this behalf (c) 'employee means any person employed on an aided post i any Privately managed recognised school for hire Or rewara (whether the terms of employment be express or implied and for the purposes of any proceeding under this relation Act % to any emplogment dispute includes the dismissed or removed from service but does persom not include & part-time employee; (d) 'existing school' means a privately managed recognised schodt which is in existence at (e) the commencement 0f this Act 'managing committee ; means the body of the individuals wbo are entrusted with themanagement of anyprivately managed recogniRule TOC
